Before initiating treatment with hyaluronate, and with each refill, carefully review the Patient Information Leaflet provided by your healthcare professional. For any questions, don't hesitate to reach out to your doctor or pharmacist.

Your healthcare provider will administer the medication through an injection into the affected joint, typically once a week. Avoid using skin disinfectants that contain ammonium salts, like benzalkonium chloride, before the injection. Your doctor may need to drain excess fluid from the joint prior to the injection. Dosing will be tailored to your specific medical needs and how you respond to treatment.

Important: Hyaluronate should never be injected into a vein or artery due to the risk of increased side effects.

After receiving an injection, it?s recommended to avoid activities that could put stress on your knee?such as jogging, heavy lifting, or prolonged standing?for at least 48 hours.

Initially, you may notice some increased pain and swelling in the knee post-injection. If these symptoms persist or worsen, contact your doctor immediately.

Adhering to the injection schedule is crucial, as the full therapeutic benefits may take up to three injections to become noticeable. If your condition shows no improvement or worsens, inform your healthcare provider without delay.
