Usage should be confined to patients with moderate anemia (e.g., hemoglobin levels of 10-13 g/dL) who lack access to autologous donation programs and are expected to experience moderate blood loss (900 to 1800 ml).

Additionally, Dropoetin is prescribed for treating anemia in patients with Low or Intermediate-1 risk Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS), specifically for those with hemoglobin levels below 10 g/dL.
