CJC-1295 is well-tolerated and makes an excellent companion to Ipamorelin for optimal results.

Understanding CJC-1295:
GHRH is produced in the hypothalamus and is critical for stimulating GH release from the pituitary gland through its pulsatile mechanism. However, GHRH has a very short half-life of just a few minutes, leading to its quick clearance from the bloodstream.
The active segment of GHRH comprises the first 29 amino acids and is available as the peptide Sermorelin, which has been modified to achieve a half-life of around 30 minutes, evolving into CJC-1295. Further enhancement with DAC (Drug Affinity Complex) allows it to bind to albumin, extending its half-life to approximately 8 days, resulting in CJC-1295 + DAC. Alternatively, CJC-1295 can be formulated without DAC for a closer simulation of natural GH spikes during nighttime.
The extended half-life provided by DAC means that injections are required only once or twice weekly. Yet, this leads to a continuous presence in the bloodstream, stimulating GH release from the pituitary via the GHRH receptor, which may not mimic typical physiological responses. Consequently, this could potentially lead to reduced GH pulse amplitude and less effective GH tissue stimulation.
Safety Considerations:
For those utilizing long-acting CJC compounds, it?s recommended to take "hormone holidays" every three to six months for about three months, allowing the pituitary to recover. During these breaks, Sermorelin can serve as an alternative to CJC-1295 + DAC.
Implementing "hormone holidays" may also help prevent GH resistance, which can develop from antibody formation that deactivates GH or due to a decrease in GH receptors in tissues (down-regulation). However, these potential issues remain theoretical, as long-term studies have yet to provide definitive evidence.
Possible side effects of CJC-1295 may include injection site reactions (irritation, redness, swelling, pain, itching), headaches, diarrhea, flushing, warmth, transient low blood pressure, nausea, and abdominal discomfort.
